FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time is check-in and checkout and can we arrive early or stay late?

Our check-in time starts at 1 pm and checkout time is noon.  We do allow early check-in and late checkout times for a per hour fee and based on availability.  Please check with the Registration Office for any time variance.

  • Do we allow golf carts at the campground?

No, due to liability reasons we do not allow golf carts, atv's, utv's, or any other motorized small items.

  • Can I bring in my own firewood?

No, we ask no outside firewood be brought into the campground to prevent the spread of unwanted insects and diseases to hurt/kill our trees.  We have firewood available for sale at the Registration Office.

  • Can I bring my pets?

Yes, we are a pet friendly campground.  We do require all pets to be leashed and attended while outside of the camper though.  We have a nice off leash area to run your pets shown on the campground map.  As a reminder we ask you to clean up after your pet after every occurrence.  We have several bag stations located throughout the campground.

  • Do we allow tenting on an RV site?

Our main tenting area is primitive with no electricity or water at the sites.  We do allow tenting at an RV site but the tent would need to be placed on the RV parking pad to keep the grass in those sites alive.

  • Are amenities included in the stay?

Yes, we include the majority of our amenities for registered campers.  Our new pedal kart track is the only additional fee amenity at this time.  Check out the amenity tab on the website for all the things we have available. Guests/Visitors do need to pay for access to the pool, mini golf, and pedal kart track though.

  • Do we have a fishing pond on-site?

No, we do not have a fishing pond at the campground.  Lake Springfield though is less than 2 miles away but would require an Illinois fishing license.  See the IL DNR for any license costs.

  • Can I bring more than the allotted vehicles listed on the Reservation Rules and Guidelines?

With a fee we do allow additional vehicles for registered campers.  We do limit the number of additional vehicles and will direct where to park the vehicle as not all sites are equipped to handle more parking.  All additional vehicles are issued gate passes at the Registration Office.  Visitor parking is at the entrance to the campground.  Do not share your gate access pass with any other vehicle than the one issue without additional fees charged.
