Open year-round for camping, we feature 120 full hook-up sites (only 25 FHU sites in winter) with free Wi-Fi and cable TV included in your stay.  Short-term sites are pull-throughs with fully-equipped, modern, safe hookups, including a fire ring and picnic table.  Every site in the campground has 20/30/50 amp electric, city water, city sewer, and a 48 channel cable TV lineup.  Leashed and attended pets are welcome.  Our 2 section off-leash area dog run is ready for your furry family camper to run free and have fun themselves.

Starting in 2022!  We have added concrete patios to a limited number of our pull-through sites.  Be sure to ask how you can reserve one during your stay with us.

Randy & Shannon Greenman, along with our daughters, are your owners/hosts at the Double J Campground.  We are here to help provide the personal assistance to make your stay with us an enjoyable one.  We purchased the campground on July 26, 2021, and we are enjoying getting to know all of our wonderful campers that stay and experience all that we have to offer.

Our campground provides easy access to I-55 and is just minutes away from Lincoln attractions and other entertainment Springfield and surrounding towns have to offer.  Our frontage road is even part of the Historic Route 66 that started in Chicago, IL and finished in Santa Monica, CA.

Remember to bring your bicycles and golf clubs with you on your camping trip and spend an extra day or two with us.  The Springfield Bike Trail systems is not far away from the campground with about 25 miles to ride.  You can start the ride right in Chatham with parking at the trailhead.  Piper Glen is our local golf course with a challenging 18-hole course and driving range.

Monthly sites are available on a limited basis.  Please call for more information on those sites.

Our Registration/Welcome Center features a well-stocked convenience store for items you may need during your stay.  In addition, the Double J has a propane fill station and a good selection of RV parts and accessories for minor ‘do-it-yourself’ fixes!
